Privacy Policy
Effective September 18, 2026
The short version.
- You can watch and vote without an account. An account is just your email address.
- We keep what the game needs: your email, your votes and coins, the motions you write, and what you bought.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.
- We do not sell your information, and there are no ads or tracking cookies today.
- You can delete your account in the app at any time, on the YOU tab.
Who we are
Daily Duel is made by SudoBloom, LLC, a Kansas limited liability company ("we", "us"). This policy covers the website at dailyduel.app and the Daily Duel app for Android (together, "Daily Duel"). Questions go to support@dailyduel.app.
What we collect
If you only watch and vote
Your browser keeps a random voter ID so your vote counts once and shows as yours. It is not linked to your name or email. Your browser also keeps your own votes, your saved fights and whether sound is muted. These stay on your device.
If you make an account
- Your email address, to sign you in and to send you sign-in codes. There is no password.
- Sign-in codes, stored scrambled (hashed), with the IP address that asked for them, so we can stop someone from flooding an inbox with codes. These are deleted after 30 days.
- A session, so you stay signed in. It is a cookie only our server can read, and we keep only a scrambled copy of it.
- What you do in the game: your votes, your picks, the fights you watched to the end, and the coins you earned, spent, bought and got back. This is how coins are paid and votes are counted.
- Motions you write (premium members). A motion is public: everyone sees it on the MOTIONS tab and on the ballot, and a winning one becomes a fight. Do not put personal information in one.
If you buy something
Purchases on the website are processed by Stripe and sold through Link, Stripe's checkout service, which acts as the seller of record. You give your payment details to Stripe, not to us. We receive a customer reference, what you bought, the amount, the currency and whether your membership is active. Purchases in the Android app go through Google Play, which handles your payment details the same way.
Automatically
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, handles every request to Daily Duel and sees your IP address and basic request details (browser type, the page asked for), which it may log briefly for security and to keep the service running. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers.
The Android app
The app asks to send notifications so it can remind you before the nightly fight. The reminder is scheduled on your phone. Your session is stored encrypted using Android's secure key storage.
How we use it
- To run the game: sign you in, count your votes, pay your coins, and apply your membership.
- To process purchases and keep the records that tax and accounting law require.
- To screen motions before they are listed, and to stop abuse, cheating and fraud.
- To answer you when you write to us.
We send email only to sign you in, and about purchases or changes to these policies. We do not send marketing email. If that ever changes, it will be something you choose to receive.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We use these companies to run Daily Duel, and each gets only what its job needs:

We would also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or as part of a sale of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to it.
Ads
Daily Duel does not show ads today. We plan to show ads to free accounts. Before we do, we will update this policy to name the ad provider and what it collects, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Your account: until you delete it.
- Sign-in codes and the IP addresses that requested them: 30 days.
- When you delete your account, we delete your email address, your sessions, your coin history and the record of what you did in the game, right away. Some things stay, with nothing linking them to you: motions you wrote (they may already be on a ballot or in a fight), votes and coins already counted in a result, and purchase records, which we keep for accounting and tax purposes. Votes on past ballots were only ever counted under your browser's random voter ID.
- Stripe and Google keep their own payment records under their own policies.
Your choices and rights
- Delete: YOU tab, then "Delete my account". This also cancels a membership bought on the website.
- See, correct or get a copy of your information: email support@dailyduel.app from the address on your account. We answer within 30 days.
- Your browser's data: clearing site data for dailyduel.app removes your voter ID, votes and saved fights from your device.
In the EU and the UK you also have the right to object to or restrict how we use your information, and to complain to your data protection authority. We use your information to provide the service you asked for (contract), to meet legal obligations such as keeping tax records, and for our legitimate interest in keeping the game fair and free of abuse.
In California and other US states with privacy laws, you have the right to know, correct and delete your information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Your information is stored and processed in the United States and wherever our providers operate.
Children
Daily Duel is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has made an account, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
Connections are encrypted. Sign-in codes and sessions are stored hashed, so a copy of our database could not be used to sign in as you. No system is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
